I want us to build a country where social safety nets are strong and people are always encouraged to lean on them—especially because all of us pay to fund them. I've been unhoused & lived off of food pantries. We need to get rid of the stigma & uplift those who need direct aid.

It’s like the song says: “Which side are you on?” Given it’s Labor Day let’s make it clear I’m on the side of workers fighting for better conditions & pay. I’m on the side of tenants worried about eviction. I’m on the side of residents fearing displacement from gentrification.

Remember, if local authorities in Georgia had their way, no one would have ever been charged for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. It took weeks of protest before charges were even brought in the case, 74 days after Arbery was shot and killed in February 2020.

The prosecutors in the Ahmaud Arbery case were meticulous and brilliant. Having great prosecutors is key to delivering justice!
