Steady progress continues at Irving Shipbuilding as block 249, the first block of the bow mega block of AOPS #6 has been lifted and placed in the Module Hall. This marks the formation of the third mega block of the sixth and final AOPS built for the Royal Canadian Navy.
Congratulations to Electrical Apprentice Tyler McGrath from Irving Shipbuilding, who recently won gold at the Nova Scotia Skills Competition! Tyler has earned his chance to represent Nova Scotia at the Skills Canada National Competition in QuΓ©bec City next month.
Exciting progress at Irving Shipbuilding! Block 240 has been moved out of the paint booth and will be lifted to become the stern mega block of the future HMCS Robert Hampton Gray. All 3 mega blocks will be moved to land level to form the final AOPS for the Royal Canadian Navy this summer.
