Exciting progress at Irving Shipbuilding! Block 240 has been moved out of the paint booth and will be lifted to become the stern mega block of the future HMCS Robert Hampton Gray. All 3 mega blocks will be moved to land level to form the final AOPS for the Royal Canadian Navy this summer.

Throughout March, Pulp & Paper Division employees hit the ice to raise money for a child battling NF2 (Neurofibromatosis Type II). The money was raised during an annual hockey tournament hosted by the mills.

Students start here 👷‍♂️👩‍🔬

This week, the Pulp & Paper Division is excited to be welcoming more than 20 students from 4 different post-secondary institutions to our teams for the winter.

We look forward to working with and learning from our students throughout their time with us!

On the ninth day of giving, employees from across JDI came together to fill PALS holiday hampers. The hampers are filled with basic necessities, groceries, turkeys and small games and toys for local families in need. This year our employees supported 140 families.

Exciting progress at Irving Shipbuilding as the future HMCS Frédérick Rolette was successfully launched last weekend. The launch required approximately 49 million litres of water to submerge the barge and set the ship afloat. AOPS #5 will be delivered to the Royal Canadian Navy in 2024.
