A Republican gerrymander just backfired in Georgia. Despite splitting Athens into three conservative-leaning districts, Democrats flipped Trump+12 GA HD-121 — turning one of those engineered red seats blue tonight.

Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Charlie Bailey says this seat isn’t even among the most competitive in next year’s midterm: “There are 17 Georgia House districts that were more Democratic than this one last year. Republicans should be very worried.” #gapol
