Friday 8.28.20 6:45PM: Labor intensive yet totally anaerobic gentle argon bulldog racking achieved— our estate grown 2018 West Wall Cabernet Sauvignon is already stunning in barrel and going to bottle next week.

It was a long day beginning before the crack of dawn but bottling went perfectly and our 2018 East Elevation Cabernet Sauvignon is now ready to rest two more years before it is released to our list. Now beer time!

Here’s a view of the #GlassFire on Wednesday afternoon from Old Lawley Toll Road northeast of Calistoga. Napa County’s Palisades mountain range is going up in flames. Mercury News

We are still safe although the fires are close. Wish us luck as we work with the brave CalFire crews to try to protect Old Lawley Toll Road.
