Very close game today against our friends Croxteth 🐯 Croxteth Tigers under 14s (2022/23). End to end game with some big chances at both ends. High intensity all game and really well contested. Was a great game to watch and gutted to be on the end of the 1-0 defeat but we will give them a go next time!

Great game to watch today, the boys listened to feedback from last week, front 4 was really fluid and used the channels really well. Everything came together and an 8 goal return and a clean sheet. Solid front to back and some quality goals, a beautiful header and a 🚀. Well in!

Entertaining game today and a Great watch the 2nd half. L11 Athletic L11 as usual moving the ball quick and creating chances. Some big ones not put away in the 2nd half and our lads fought back but just too much in the end for them. 5-3 with 5 goals coming 2nd half. We go again! ⚽️

Wasn’t at the game today as had to go away last min. A 2-1 loss to a very good farmers blues Adele aspinall and the kids gave a really good account of themselves by the sounds of it. A good game and more improvements yet again. Hopefully a really strong finish to the year now 💪

Thinking about training tomorrow and reviewing some old sessions. Got me thinking of how chuffed I am with how much these boys have improved over the past couple of years who now on their day give anyone a game. So important to take a step back and look at the bigger picture ⚽️

Output really does go ⬆️ in smaller sided games. Put together a 3v3 drill focused on attacking at speed tonight, with 2 defenders having to recover. The kids were feeling it afterwards! 😂 Touches of the ball for each was much higher than usual and some great skill came out ⚽️

First cup final for us next week. Rode our luck in the first half but hung on, stayed in it and got 2 to come from behind and win 2-1. Look what it means to the boys ❤️ a very nervy last few minutes but a quality result!
