2/NYC Council security got violent with our members, who were there to peacefully protest the tax lien task force’s failure to research and recommend the potential abolition of the tax lien sale and a solution for its replacement.

3/This task force exists to explore alternatives to the tax lien sale and has a legal duty to do so. Their recommendations, which do almost nothing to address creating or preserving affordable housing, show that they all have failed in their obligation: nyc.gov/assets/finance…
