The body of Christ is called to be a sacred place for the vulnerable. We have often chosen to be a safe place for the powerful and have deceived ourselves into believing that God would call that good.

I am excited to have the opportunity to preach the next two Sundays at Sulphur Springs Baptist in Trussville. I appreciate the invitation to fill the pulpit for the morning and evening services. I appreciate your prayers.

28 years ago today I read in Matthew 16:where Jesus said "what does it profit a man who gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?". That night, I became a follower of Jesus. In God's accounting my soul, and you soul, is more valuable than all the riches of the world!

Just watched the UNC game with a win right at the buzzer! What an incredible game!! Now I’m watching mixed doubles curling in the Winter Olympics and I have to say it’s a little less exciting than the UNC game!
