I think the issue is a lower threshold for diagnosing heart failure, particularly with better imaging / recognition of hfpef etc. We are also more likely to diagnose heart failure in multi morbid patients who have greater mortality

John Mandrola, MD I still find it very difficult to envision a health care related explanation for such a rapid reversal (ignoring the last 2 years of the graphs, which are clearly pandemic-related). This is why I’m so focused on coding and diagnostic explanations, which seem much more evanescent.
