When hiring, you should think about it the way online marketers collect leads: Minimize hurdles & get the basic info as the expression of interest. So not using Linkedin's Easy Apply feature with minimal questions is foolish. No essays. Ask all the questions you want later.

This thread is dead on. Climate change is both caused by and can be solved with economics. We have to change the economics of CO2. It’s the only solution. We have the technology and we have the capacity. We just don’t have the economic incentive.

It's not enough to do the work right. If you need others' support, you have to be good at explaining why the work is right and explain it widely and often. If you let the work speak for itself, it WILL be misunderstood. I learned this the hard way.
