A Buckingham Palace Aid resigned over making racist remarks By firing just one person from an institution that's built on imperialism, how are we resolving the deeper issue at hand? We need to examine the role the British monarchy has played in the construction of racism itself

Your reminder that traffickers incur an average debt of $23,500 under their victim's name. Financial institutions are allowed to take this money from victims and credit bureaus can include this on credit reports We need compassion for survivors, not for big banks #ISupportBill41

Thank you to Navjit Kaur Brar for bringing forward a motion to call gender-based violence an epidemic in Brampton, seconded by Rowena Santos and passed unanimously by council. It was an honour delegating to council today, alongside Amandeep Kaur.

Collecting social identity data is vital to doing work with marginalized communities, but we also need to recognize the potential risks and apply a #DataEquity lens to avoid reinforcing historical harms of data collection. Lessons from United Way Greater Toronto

In June 2023, I delegated to the City of Brampton to declare IPV an epidemic. Today, I went to Queen’s Park and saw Bill 173, the IPV Epidemic Act, pass the second reading after years of advocacy by community parters, survivors, and their families. It’s about time.
