We regenerated our TLS keys to the same strongness as before (4096 RSA + ECDHE w/ 4096 DHPARAM). You may get XMPP cert change warnings.

We upgraded our Web server to NGINX v1.9. HTTP/2 is now enabled n the service. Enjoy the upgrade :)

Restarting our services to do some maintenance.

Our Web servers are encountering issues sporadically, due to a bug in the bleeding edge version of NGINX we are using. Waiting for a hotfix.

The XMPP network is being targeted by a large-scale Spam attack. Please ignore any spammy message you receive from strange/random users.

Measures to counteract the attack are being discussed on the XMPP mailing lists.

Our server is dropping packets for whatever reason. Server restarted, services back online.

Ongoing packet loss issue. Happening again. It seems to be linked to our hosting provider network. Checking w/ them to resolve the issue.

No more packet loss are observed. We'll see how this stabilizes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

End-to-end encryption is coming to Jappix! We chose to implement OMEMO (standard) - rather than the most common OTR. conversations.im/omemo/

Service maintenance finished. We did some configuration changes to prevent further DDoS attacks.
