Oka-dera is an old Buddhist temple in the historic Asuka area of Nara Prefecture. Japanese garden adjacent to the temple's building is small but so impressive. #岡寺 #明日香

I Stayed in Fukuoka for five days. On second day I went to Dazaifu Tenman-gū that is a Shinto shrine in Dazaifu noted in connection with the new era's name Reiwa. It is built over the grave of Sugawara no Michizane (845–903) who was a scholar, poet, and politician. #太宰府天満宮

A Hakata doll (Hakata ningyo) is a traditional Japanese clay doll, originally from the city of Fukuoka, part of which was previously named Hakata. The dolls are one of Japan’s most famous traditional arts. Took these photos at HAKATA TRADITIONAL CRAFT AND DESIGN MUSEUM. #博多人形

The highway that connected the shōgun’s capital with the imperial court was the Tōkaidō. In addition to being a crazy historical road, it’s on of Tōkyō’s most popular #PokemonGo routes.
