Step into a world where silence grows like moss🍃✨ Hidden in Japan’s quiet hills, Konsho-ji Temple invites you to slow down and breathe in the stillness. Wander through moss-covered paths, listen to the rustle of leaves, and feel time soften around you🏔 Add this serene

It's "Shiwasu," (師走) or, December in Japan. Called "the month of the running monks" on account of the many events to which they are called, the year is coming to a close everyone is rushing to clean and organize themselves for an impending new beginning.

The temple near me rebuilt one of their mon (門 gate). While I lament losing the nice dark-wood wabi-sabi of the old one, it’s a good reminder that all of those beautiful dark temples started out shiny and new like this at one point.
