I stare stupidly at the policeman in my living room. Beside me my husband begins to shake. Words in my head #scurry and twist. I wrangle them from my mouth. 'What do you mean my son didn't make it?' I say. The officer's eyes are somber. 'He didn't survive,' he says. #vss365
