Catherine Connolly is not what you would call a spirited debater, but that's partly why of the two candidates she is by far the best person to be Uachtarán na hÉireann. Calm, considered, collegial, all characteristics of a leader who cares. A President for All.

Another overwhelmingly positive canvas out in Loughlinstown this evening for Connolly for President But! It ain't over till it's over! Every vote counts, so make a plan to vote this Friday, and turn out to vote! 🗳

I'll be voting for Catherine Connolly today. This is a campaign that started from very little and turned into a movement that defied expectations and one that believes that a better Ireland is possible. Let's keep it going! Vótáil Catherine Connolly #1 🇮🇪

What a day. 10th Uachtarán na hÉireann elected by a landslide and the most successful election result in Irish history. When you offer people a vision, an alternative, and a reason to come together, they will vote for hope and for change. Onward together 🇮🇪🌹

Had the pleasure of tallying my own polling station yesterday in the RDS. Loughlinstown Community Rooms Catherine Connolly beating Heather Humphreys at a 2:1 ratio. (And minimal spoiled votes)

"Younger, working class men" So, I grew up in a council estate. This is about men like me and people I know. Politics isn't working for us, but it's not because of a lack of conservatism, it's because people in power & successive governments have shredded the social contract.

Labour’s Ged Nash says the comments from Simon Harris, who suggested 80% of asylum applicants were not entitled to be here, were the sort of “misinformed comments you get from a bloke in the pub who gets his information from Facebook”

Making the same mistakes again. You absolutely can criticise Government policy on migration without being a racist. Your Dáil colleagues do it all the time. But you don't have to copy the rhetoric of the far-right to do so. They aren't going to vote for you!

The war on drugs needs to end. Today we will be calling for the decriminalisation of drug users and advocating for health-led drug policies. We need to approach this issue with compassion if we are to truly help those who need it the most.

Whenever people call for a "debate" on migration or trans rights or whatever social class of people, it's always with the intent of making the lives of migrants, trans people, etc. worse. Can we not debate real problems in society like how to best redistribute wealth?
