Just a reminder that the ice is never truly “safe” especially after all this mild weather. Nobody hurt at one of my favorite riding spots. Hopefully the ice will tighten up next week.

10 years ago we faced the same kind of brutally cold conditions expected for this Sunday in the Steel Shoe 3-Hour Ice Race. I remember coming into the pits from my first stint and not being able to feel my fingers on the clutch lever! Here’s to hand warmers and hot chocolate!

It ain’t a day on the KX500 until something breaks or falls off. But this time it was catastrophic. 😂

It really was a good ice racing season despite the tough finish. Time to regroup and be ready in 2 weeks for Daytona. And 6 weeks for super moto season!
