The irony is if people had been transparent about concerns regarding going stick accuracy/consistency, we wouldn't be in this mess. We could have learnt that in the same way that 5 furlongs at Chester and Ascot are very different tests for a horse, that a 10.2 Going Stick reading

On reflection don’t think the ride in the favourite was all that bad. He was travelling better than the winner but lost ground on him *after* he made his move initially. Jockey was entitled to think he had winner covered given how well he was travelling imo

Controversial opinion perhaps but I’ll throw it out there - Racing fans are attracted to the sport by brilliant horses running against each other in great races - not familiar jockeys riding in 0-85 handicaps.
