When Mayor Ken Sim , Trevor Ford and ABC Vancouver removed the bike lane in Stanley Park, a study showed that vehicle speeds increased dramatically. We were very outspoken about this. The decisions by our leaders to make our streets more dangerous have consequences.

Great progress on the new plaza at Bute and Robson in the West End. This council-supported project will create a permanent plaza for the community to enjoy, and include rain gardens and intersection improvements. Building a city we love. #vanpoli

Funny how there are no NIMBY activists who can rally supporters. Or rally people to vote for Colleen Hardwick.

Every city councillor who voted against the Broadway Plan lost their seat. Every councillor who voted for it was reelected. Sim beat Stewart and Hardwick in the mayoral race. Sim’s party had all voted for it. Hardwick, who voted against it, was a distant third.

What would be a satisfactory form of public engagement to you Kerry Gold? People complaining about process who cannot explain what an appropriate process would be are complaining in bad faith.

This is good news and good work on the part of Lisa Dominato, City Councillor and Peter Meiszner. It’s a universal value that kids should be able to walk and bike to school. Parents are more aware of the dangers, so we need leadership like this to make it safe.
