Today we were ready to work for as long as it took to reach a fair deal, but management walked away from the table with five hours to go. It’s official: NYTimesGuild members are walking out for 24 hours on Thursday. We know what we’re worth.

I’m done with Tony Dungy and the way the NFL and NBC coddle his right wing extremism. So I wrote about it. thenation.com/article/societ…

I always find the discourse around $70 games to be interesting because if you consider inflation games should cost about $150. The real question people should be asking is why wages are so low that $70 seems like a significant amount, but that's a whole other conversation

Greg Abbott over the years: Allen: "unspeakable tragedy" Cleveland: "senseless act" Uvalde: "senseless crime" White Settlement: "evil act" Midland-Odessa: "senseless & cowardly attack" El Paso: "heinous & senseless act" Santa Fe: "act of evil" Sutherland Springs: "horrific act"

The Rep for Allen, Texas, spent much of this week railing against children "led like lambs to the slaughter" talking about gender care. The congressman for Allen says those who think prayers aren't enough just don't believe in an almighty God. Maybe worry about guns for a minute

Growing up in Allen I can’t explain how much time I have spent at these outlets. From back to school shopping to prom. Who is accountable for this? Jeff Leach, Keith Self, Greg Abbott and GOP have only made it easier to buy and use guns. We NEED change. wfaa.com/article/news/c…

Yesterday we had the opportunity to meet with Congressman Bill Keating's staff to discuss the debt ceiling. We heard first hand stories on why we need a clean #debtceiling bill with no attacks on our communities. 👏

The GOP’s endgame is never about helping anyone but themselves & the ultra wealthy and extracting whatever gains they can on the backs of the most marginalized among us. This is why we need more elected officials who will go to bat for us.
