Remember everyone loves to give advice - just most people have no idea what they are talking about and want to feel important. Listen credible people who have done it before, or can clearly explain and make very good arguments. Preferably both.

Disrupt traditional industries (stale, old, weak, and simple, h/t @codiesanche) and you are going to cause chaos. Raise prices, add tech, cut costs, add paid ads, add eccomerce, goal orientated kpi's/okr's, work all the time etc

Working smart is more important than working hard, but working hard and smart is rocket fuel under the right business. Working hard is 65+ hours a week. Use the weekends to gain a competitive edge 99% won't do - its a superpower.

Validate your market first as quickly as possible (preferably in days not weeks), then backfill on everything else not totally essential to driving sales. IE product features / development, compliance, tax, accounting etc

Get your product/service paid for in advance (and at bulk if possible). Ensure that you have payment terms of 30 days net with all your suppliers. This creates an excellent cashflow situation at your company and should remove reliance on external funding.

If you can get back to your staff, agencies, contractors etc at 3x the speed everyone else does, your company is going to grow an order of magnitude faster. It's a huge competitive advantage that is easy to implement.

Like RTÉ and all the other useless MSM outlets out there, you guys haven’t realised that you’ve lost. You better start realising pretty quickly btw before you all go bust. It’s over for you. Your lies don’t work anymore. No one believes your dribble anymore. No one takes you

It's a little rich having to listen to Irish politicians waxing lyrical about 'consumers bearing the brunt of cost' on tariffs when they all support extortionate levels of tax on petrol & diesel, which drives up transport costs for all goods, as well as 23% VAT on retail & VRT.

This is the most Irish thing ever. A "housing czar" to lead a "strategic housing office" under the Minster for Housing within the Department of Housing. Isn’t the Minister for Housing already our Housing Czar?
