I will be demanding a full emergency Dáil debate on these FOI documents. The revelations are explosive and they radically undermine Government and indeed State security

Just to say: Gript Media is happy to share the documents that underpin this story with any and all of our colleagues in the rest of the media. Just reach out and we'll share the lot, given what one might think is the enormous public interest at stake.

'There is a European dimension to this, my understanding is this is a transposition of an EU directive as well,' he said, and added: 'I would like it to get some time at the justice committee if that's possible.'

Now you know why they wont bin the bill. For them this is about…

He should have asked him what he made about our evidence-based decision to force people to pay €9 for chicken nuggets to enjoy a few drinks down the pub. Science was strong on that one.

Maybe it’s just me, but this looks like a good section of the website to inform people about it. That’s assuming the truth does actually matter, right?

Almost 8 hours since Gript broke the story on the documents obtained through FOI, which were not released to the public in advance of last months referendums, and which contradict numerous statements made by Govt Ministers about the ramifications of the public passing the…

NPR's CEO believes that truth is subjective and the pursuit of truth can get in the way of getting things done.

Senator Michael McDowell has accused the Dáil of “turning into a rubber stamp assembly” in relation to the EU Migration Pact calling the lack of debate over “constitutional level change” a “disgrace”.

The and the have two main things in common: both originate in Brussels and both pose an astounding threat to our democracy.

Our leaders have their vision set on Europe, not on the electorate.

It's time to listen to the people of Ireland on…

As an interesting note on the DoJ FOI story - I have been refused access to somewhere between 200 - 300 documents on the referendum between various Departments. And that's not counting ones I got that were redacted to hell and back.

Why is Taoiseach Harris talking about 'going it alone' as if sovereignty is a bad thing? The word he is looking looking for is independence. That age old principle that thousands of Irish people laid down their lives for in the belief that self determination is sacrosanct.

This is truly an explosive news story from Gript. The fact that these documents were kept secret in advance of the referendums is one thing, that it contradicts multiple statements made by Ministers in the lead up to the refs is another, but that they were actually pushing for…

'It's terrible that toxicity if forcing people out of politics. Also, lets keep those documents about the effects these amendments will have on our immigration laws secret until after the referendums, and mislead the public about what they say. The truth would hurt our chances.'

One of the most concerning aspects about the trajectory Ireland is on, is that there are people out there who will read story after story about the Irish government repeatedly spreading misinformation, yet still support giving them power to regulate and censor information online.

There was non-stop misinformation from the Government about the referendums. They have forfeited all right to lecture people on 'misinformation'.

These documents, had they been released before the referendums, would have been dynamite. They should STILL be dynamite, I might add.

Which is presumably one reason why they were not released before the referendums. Exceptional journalism by Gary Kavanagh:

“It is not an exaggeration to say that it will be extremely difficult, and perhaps impossible, to maintain a meaningful immigration system should the People accept these amendments.”

The decision to withhold these documents from the public before the referendum should bring down…

Last week I was canvassed by my local FF Cllr. When I told him I wouldn’t vote for FF due to their support for the hate speech bill he claimed the bill was dead, it was a FG idea and they wouldn’t be going into coalition with them next time around.
