The announcement was made at a #COP27 side event, Financing Disruptive Climate Solutions in Key Sectors, which was hosted at the #Panda pavilion by the ACA currently chaired by WWF.

#COP27 is scheduled to close in 24 hours - and negotiators remain divided on a number of significant issues. I urge them to act - and act quickly. The world is watching and has a simple message: stand and deliver.

I met with a team from the World Wide Fund (WWF - Kenya), led by Dr. Asma Awadh, and discussed the 2023–2027 energy plan for Kilifi County. There are ongoing projects for the provision of power in some parts of Magarini, including Kirepwe, Bombi, and Chakama.
