Often, the "fawn" response will lead trauma survivors to settle for less than we need or deserve economically, & to struggle w/ asking or making the case for promotion or advancemen. Part of us might feel we're "lucky" to be here at all, & to ask for more will get us yelled at.

If you wanna get on my case about trauma informed care, learn the difference between "blaming (X) on trauma" & "trauma survivors frequently struggle w/ (X)." I am so bored w/ "skeptics" of trauma informed care who can't even define trauma informed care.

PTSD is highly prevalent-- & amazingly under diagnosed. Especially in adults who "present well." Yeah. You learn to "present well" when you've had to deny, disown, dissociate, & otherwise "stuff" your trauma for the sake of daily "functioning" for years.

Abusive people and institutions are very keen on the public believing that words like "trauma" & "abuse" have now become so hopelessly overused that you can't believe anyone when they invoke these words. Abusers count on you rolling your eyes at these terms.

I have literally never met a survivor who felt "entitled" to anything because they were victimized. I've met hundreds who assumed that, because they were victimized, they must not "deserve" to live, though. Take your pontificating about "victim entitlement" and shove it.
