If our neighbors have to become like us to meet Jesus, we’ve misunderstood the mission.

If we expect the lost to seek the church, we’re asking them to be the missionary instead of us. That’s not the gospel. Jesus came to us—so we would go to them.

Jesus lived among the broken. If we’re going to reach people—we can’t do it from a distance.

Mission isn’t just going to far-away places. Sometimes the greatest mission is staying in one. Rooted. Present. Invested.

Us: “church isn’t about the numbers.” God: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus…
