A good night’s sleep helps you process emotions & memories and cleanses the brain of toxins, a hallmark of Alzheimer’s. Obstructive sleep apnea & snoring may lead to earlier impairment of cardiac function in women. If you do experience problems sleeping, you should address them.

High blood pressure in early adulthood is associated with a decline in brain health in midlife after adjusting for other risk factors. Early intervention is key. A healthy lifestyle & medication can slow down or prevent further decline; it can’t reverse damage already done.

Even if you feel like things are difficult, there are often still simple things that you might feel grateful for. Gratitude is a malleable trait that can be developed even if you were not born with a predisposition toward it.

Shockingly, females are more likely to be diagnosed with the same disease later than males; they experience greater adverse effects from new therapeutics and are often described as having “atypical” symptoms for a given disease.

It seems the more stuff, the more stress women feel. Decluttering is less about tidying up and focusing on what matters to you. Choosing what stays and what goes releases material clutter and emotional clutter. #brainhealth
