TheTattooedHeadteacher Deputy CEO 🏳️🌈✊🏾she/her Agree. Get rid of Ofsted and replace it with effective and meaningful accountability body that focuses on school improvement. Remove league tables. Let school leaders lead. Trust them.
Christine Gilbert says Ofsted’s complaints process is “far better” than before. “You can talk to a body, a person.” That's been the case for years; it's not the point. Waiting more months for a possible independent complaints process is not good enough. schoolsweek.co.uk/ofsted-claims-…

Carmel O’Hagan. ⚫️ Ask questions. Steve Waters FCCT It makes me want to weep. As a retired HT who went through quite a few Ofsted regimes, each grew more and more stressful. As a governor, our staff were brilliant and resilient (I hope) but did not deserve the treatment they received. New framework worse than ever. Not listened.
Ruth Swailes The issue is not that teachers disagree with accountability but that the Ofsted inspection version of accountability damages lives, rather than promoting professional development. Grading is part of this damaging process.
