October 2nd is Wrongful Conviction Day but the Michigan Innocence Clinic is observing the day early by inviting recent exoneree, Walter Forbes, to campus to meet with students.

Walter was a college student when he was wrongfully charged with setting a fire. The clinic began working on his case in 2010 & helped him secure evidence implicating the building's owner as the true arsonist. He was fully exonerated in Dec 2020 after serving nearly 38 years.
