A real honour to address Scottish Labour Women’s Conference on the importance of women in politics. At the general election Labour elected more female MPs than the Tories have ever had in their Party’s history. But we’re not done yet, the fight for equality continues🌹

It was a pleasure to address Scottish Labour Women's Conference this afternoon. From the cost of living crisis to the mismanagement of our NHS - it's too often women who pay the highest price. Our programme for 2026 will be designed by and deliver for woman.

After a productive day's training it was great to catch up with Carol Mochan MSP last night over dinner and hear how she works to take constituency, regional, party & trade union priorities into parliament. Also of the inspirational Labour women who inspired and continue to support her.

Thanks to Johanna Baxter MP for highlighting the inadequacy of, and gaps in, statutory sick pay provisions and securing meeting with Justin Madders to ensure the Labour government address all the failings of the Tory system.
