We couldn't end #NVW2025 without acknowledging the exceptional outreach efforts of the Howe & Fish Labs! Their grad students routinely team up to offer lab tours, classroom visits and more for youth in the GTA and beyond. Thankful for this amazing team! 💙 uhnstempathways.ca/annual-spotlig…

With the school year ending, we just wanted to share a fun update on program numbers thus far. Did you know that our University Health Network youth outreach program launched only 3 years ago, in May 2022? It's been a fun journey and none of it would be possible without the support of #TeamUHN. 💙

UHN marks the passing of Dr. James Till, whose work with Dr. Ernest McCulloch first demonstrated the existence of blood-forming stem cells in 1961 at Ontario Cancer Institute, now Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. His work has helped launch the field of #stemcell science.

What a fun and thoughtful afternoon thanks to Lisa Boivin PhD - Dr. Littlewolf, whose workshops are offered to all University Health Network staff. The Open House highlighted how these workshops use art to explore topics such as wellness, cultural safety, anti-Indigenous racism, and intergenerational learning.

We had a lovely time at the Year End event for TDSB-UHN co-op students. We have had a fantastic time getting to know students from the last two terms and it was a pleasure celebrating their accomplishments. Our best wishes to these future health care and research professionals!
