The federal #judiciary’s “self-policing” of workplace misconduct has utterly failed, Rep. Hank Johnson + I argue in MSNBC. There has never been a better time to pass the #JudiciaryAccountabilityAct. Judges shouldn't be above the laws they interpret. msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-…

Federal court employees spend their careers helping others seek justice—they too should be able to seek justice for workplace discrimination or harassment. My Judiciary Accountability Act w/ Sen. Lisa Murkowski would do just that—extending protections to 30,000 judiciary employees.

The Judiciary Accountability Act expands federal laws that prohibit workplace harassment and discrimination to employees of the judiciary, putting them on par with executive branch, congressional, and private sector employees who have long-had these protections.

📣📣 Yesterday, Congress reintroduced the #JudiciaryAccountabilityAct, which will extend federal anti-discrimination protections to 30,000+ #judiciary employees. There's never been a better time to pass this common-sense legislation. I urge Congress to make this a priority.

Next stop on The Legal Accountability Project (LAP)'s law school roadshow? Yale Law School ! On Tues 10/1, I look forward to discussing #clerkships w/ YLW+ and Title IX Student Advocates. At a school where clerking is top of mind for many, nothing is more important than ensuring informed decision-making.
