The federal judiciary’s “self-policing” of workplace misconduct has utterly failed, Aliza Shatzman + Rep. Hank Johnson argue in MSNBC. Real #accountability + sweeping reform have never been more urgent. Judges shouldn't be above the laws they interpret. 👇

Federal court employees spend their careers helping others seek justice—they too should be able to seek justice for workplace discrimination or harassment. My Judiciary Accountability Act w/ Sen. Lisa Murkowski would do just that—extending protections to 30,000 judiciary employees.
It is unconscionable that over 60 yrs after the signing of the Civil Rights Act, employees of the federal judiciary are not protected from workplace discrimination. I'm proud to introduce the #JudiciaryAccountabilityAct w Rep. Norma Torres Rep. Nadler Senator Mazie Hirono Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
I'm proud to reintroduce the Judiciary Accountability Act of 2024 with Rep. Hank Johnson to ensure all 30,000+ federal judiciary employees have protections from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. It's time for workplace justice. #JudiciaryAccountability #WorkplaceJustice
Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski is joining with Democrats in sponsoring a bill that would provide greater protections for the federal judiciary's 30,000 employees after an inquiry found that an Alaska judge engaged in sexual misconduct reut.rs/4dkQH6A Nate Raymond
