Austerity is not the politics of grassroots Labour party members and it should never be the politics of a Labour government. There’s nothing brave about cutting public spending. Real bravery would be taxing the multimillionaires/billionaires and changing society for the better.

If anyone was believing the hype, this is the view of a recent senior Nottm City Councillor who sees #Broxtowe as a rotten borough and Beeston, Stapleford, Kimberley and Eastwood as “meaningless suburban towns”. It is a remarkable insult and shows what the City thinks of us.
