After interfering in our bargaining and violating our charter rights in 2016, the Manitoba Government has been ordered to pay UofM Faculty Assoc. and its members $19.3 Million. umfa.ca/news/204-gover…
This is a bittersweet victory. Gov actions were harmful to UMFA members and UM students. Hopefully Heather Stefanson now recognizes the costs of continued interference and will now respect the independence of Manitoba’s universities, and workers’ rights in collective bargaining.
