It takes a lot for this lifelong Orioles fan to offer condolences to Yankees fans, but that was a tough one. But the team, the city and the fans deserve respect for accepting the results of the 2024 World Series.

Maybe The New York Times missed this, but I wonder whether the case was made to use it instead of simply amplifying the intended message by using images framed by the campaign itself. They must have known a picture like this exists or known that they could have taken it themselves

There's a script for this. Marinus van der Lubbe, who was convicted for the arson of the Reichstag building, was executed by guillotine on January 10, 1934 at the age of 24. The executioner wore top hat and tails.

Hiring a decorating service to string up lights on your house for the holidays is like using AI to write – the product looks good but a little fake – and you gain nothing from it. A thought unlikely to change any student's mind, but I'll share it anyway. tinyurl.com/22xlls22

Wondering whether the work of history teachers to help students make sense of the past so they understand it also makes then ill-equipped to appreciate the size, scope and scale of seismic change that defies any sense in the present. infinitude.maherpages.net/index.php/2025…

Serious question US History teachers - is this quote going to make it into your next current event lesson? If you include it you're contributing to the deterioration of public discourse. If you don't include it, you're covering up a President's deterioration of public discourse
