This really resonates with me right now.

I’ve let myself believe the myth that if I work hard enough, I can check off everything on my to do list and find myself in a place where I think “wow - I have nothing I *have* to do.” But, that place likely does not exist. Only when I accept that can I find peace in the chaos.

We often think of success as reaching the big goal at the end of the road. But, success can also be defined as showing up on a daily basis, taking a step forward, and learning and growing. Success is something that you have the power to access every day.

At the end of 1st lecture I asked my students "What is your biggest worry right now?" Take a second & read some of their responses, & if you're a prof, remember that our students have so much more on their shoulders than your 1 course Academic Chatter™ #HigherEd #WomenInSTEM

Some things I have been doing really well on the last two weeks, but still catching up on my research tasks. I was telling a friend how I felt like a failure for not getting it all done, and she said "you cannot be all things to all people". What a great thing to remember.

The women of Texas have lost their rights to bodily autonomy. It is a wake up call for all who thought abortion access battles were long ago fought and won. In this #WomensHealthWeek we must redouble our efforts to protect the reproductive health rights of Australian women.

A simple way to test the logic of the Voice: Reverse it. If white Australians were in the minority. Had the highest incarceration rate. Were dying in custody. Died younger. Serious poverty etc. And you ask if “could we at least advise on matters affecting us?” This isn’t hard.
