Who am I to question the Tunnel Road project? asks DCM. Sir, I am a common Kannadiga. A Bengaluru boy who loves our city. A common man who is suffering in traffic everyday. As a Bengalurean and with deep concern for the city's future, I would urge the DCM to consult experts

. Tejasvi Surya, MP Bengaluru South, met ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ officials over the recent fare hike, saying Bengaluru Metro now has the highest fares in India. He said the Fare Fixation Committee wrongly took 2016-17 as the base year instead of 2017-18, which led to higher fares for

It's a simple ask. BMRCL must correct the fares. It got the calculation wrong and the right thing to do is to correct it. Bengaluru, let us not stop until the fares are corrected. It's an insult to commuters that they are paying high fares due to erroneous base year.

Tejasvi Surya (@tejasvi_surya) 's Twitter Profile Photo

BMRCL has considered 2016 - 17 as the base year for fare calculation, whereas if 2017 - 18 had been taken, it would have been fair to commuters. Because of this difference, today’s fares are higher, what’s ₹50 now could’ve been ₹40, ₹60 could’ve been ₹50 and ₹90 could’ve

Metro fares in other Indian cities, even for similar distances, are lesser than that of Bengaluru Metro. In Bengaluru, a 20 - 25 km ride costs ₹80, while in Delhi, even a ride of 32 km is just ₹64. In Mumbai, a 12-18 km journey costs ₹30, yet in Bengaluru, traveling 10-15

BMRCL faces a test of ethical standards. That BMRCL misapplied the fare formula is beyond doubt. Citizens & MP Tejasvi Surya have shown this clearly. To date BMRCL has hid under obfuscatory clarifications. That must STOP. Quick fare rectification is a moral imperative.

⚠️ Bengaluru metro commuters: Pls see ❌ columns in the picture below to know why you are paying unfair high fares. As an input to fare formula BMRCL considered 366% increase. True input is 110%. See ✅ columns. Siddaramaiah Manohar Lal: Direct BMRCL to correct the fares🙏🏼

👇🏽is the reason why Bengaluru metro commuters pay unfair 72% fare hike. Delays means no revenue growth, but BMRCL has loan interest & repayment obligations. Now that existing commuters are paying very high fares, BMRCL will not bother about Pink and Blue line delays Tragedy.
