Very excited to share our latest paper in Science Advances! We find that the fitness effects of mutations change under different levels of promoter activity. These changes are associated with slightly destabilizing effects on the protein structure (1/7) rb.gy/7iakp7

Thrilled to unveil our latest work Science Advances. We decoded a unique strategy adopted by the host to detect and eventually eliminate a variety of pathogens. An innate pathogen sensing strategy involving ubiquitination of bacterial surface proteins science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

I am truly excited to share one of the major works to emerge from my postdoc, now on bioRxiv: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We explore the role of differential 'substrate quality' on the phosphorylation of kinase targets, using as our case study the master kinase CK2 (1/n).

Our newest and possibly the most craziest discovery. We discovered that a tweezer like host protein, pulls out ubiquitinated proteins from bacterial surface and the resultant force exerted on bacterial membrane completely ruptures the bug.
