Did you feel that? While tonight’s earthquake wasn’t big enough to trigger a Shake Alert notification, the next tremor could be around the corner. Take action to stay safe today by downloading California’s first in the nation earthquake early warning smartphone app MyShake

#earthquake shaking felt across LA. MyShake users got a warning and are now reporting their experience. No damage reports - see map in the app!

Congrats to those who participated in the #earthquake #ShakeOut yesterday and received the MyShake test alert. This is why we have early warning alerts: 30 sec to get ready for shaking in #eqnz yesterday

Now we are able to issue earthquake alerts, the challenge remains to help people respond and protect themselves. Great review from Dare Baldwin. Don't forget to download MyShake! theconversation.com/shakealert-ear… via The Conversation U.S.

Today we used MyShake to investigate how to interpret seismographs! And apparently a selfie I the teacher’s to celebrate of course 🙃 #geology #earthquakes

A M4.6 earthquake occurred today at 1:47pm Pacific time near Malibu, CA. MyShake successfully distributed an alert to our users. Remember to drop, cover, and hold on when you receive an alert or feel shaking.
