China is building four more AP1000 reactors, at two sites. Article link in reply. I wonder why they're not sticking with their domestic designs (which are used for most of China's new builds now). Standardization should reduce costs.

Germany hasn't experienced economic growth since turning off their final 7 nuclear reactors. Capital investment down. Government spending up. The loss of compounding growth is much worse than people realize. Germans shot the albatross, the bird which made the breeze to blow.

UK Nuclear speaks to the world - young people in the UK, too, should heed the message. It has a million times the energy density of coal and gas - that means careers with a future. researchgate.net/publication/38…

The UK government has ordered a “review’ into its nuclear power plans. That means we’ve got a chance to influence their thinking & save new UK nuclear. Tell Ed Miliband don’t scrap the UK’s new nuclear power plants. act.weplanet.org/savebritishnuc…

Is hope in Australian nuclear re-opening? Or is it just shutting down permanently? Like the anti-prometheans a million years ago that denied the benefits of fire? Or the saboteurs who said the Industrial Revolution was too expensive and destroyed jobs? There is always one

Cumulatively, the 14 financial institutions have committed to over $6 trillion in Sustainable Financing by 2030. Say 10% goes to nuclear, as per nuclear's share of the mix in the IEA's NZE scenario. Say Nth-of-a-kind Western construction brings costs down to $6 billion per GW

New photos show China building America's best nuclear reactor design at record speeds to become #1 in nuclear power. Here's Lianjiang nuclear plant 12 months after Unit 1 construction start. Only 24 months after first dig. AP1000s on a 4-year schedule. We should be doing this.

While reading the DOE's September 2024 update to its Pathways to Commercial Liftoff; Advanced Nuclear I felt the need to stop and share a figure included in the report. It's one of my favorite illustrations for supporting my assertion that nuclear fission produces uniquely

It sounds like the Georgia Public Service Commissioner (no less) has some serious corrections for the #4Corners claims about his state's power prices, already credulously spread by @Bowenchris, Tristan Edis & others. I'll be tuning in next week. #auspol #NuclearEnergy

Duke Energy footage of Lake Placid Solar Power Plant. When anti-nuclear activists prematurely retire operating #nuclear power plants, this is what they are accomplishing: destroying clean-energy infrastructure. Pro-nuclear advocates don't to this to solar.
