Amazon is the world’s largest corporate clean energy buyer.

In 2023, it announced 8.8 GW of power purchase agreements.

It plans to build an enormous 960 MW nuclear-powered data center campus that will pave the way for building new nuclear power plants.

PSA: Wind & solar don't replace power plants.

In 2020, 15 US states saw wind power fall below 1.5% for 42 straight hours.

Batteries would be fully drained & unable to recharge due to the lack of wind & low solar output.

BBC journalist lectures the President of Guyana on developing oil & gas reserves.

The hypocrisy is mind-boggling: wealthy nations get over 80% of their energy from fossil fuels & reap the benefits of prosperity from the low-cost, reliable energy they provide.

More than 50% of China’s solar manufacturers could be wiped out in the next two to three years because of excess capacity.

If wind & solar are so cheap, then why do places with renewable energy mandates have higher-than-average electricity costs?

The media said renewables were so cheap that they'd pay for themselves. That was a lie. US taxpayers will spend $1 trillion subsidizing them. And they'll increase electricity prices because of their unreliability. To wit: renewables generated less electricity in 2023 than 2022.

We're watching a slow motion train wreck.

Radical green policies are forcing power plants into retirement faster than they're being replaced.

The fallout from these misguided policies risk destabilizing the lives of 65 million Americans in 13 states.

CA climate policy is supposed to be a model for the world.

It is. It’s a model of what *not* to do.

Despite funneling billions into solar & wind power, CA has seen no improvement in the carbon intensity of its electricity production for more than a decade.

The UK gets sober on natural gas.

It aimed to stop using gas power plants by 2035.

Now the gov't says new gas plants are needed to keep the lights on.

Turns out, the British aren't fond of shivering in the dark.

On our panel at Bitcoin Atlantis a couple days ago, Michael Saylor⚡️ said he thinks the big tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Apple will successfully lobby for a nuclear power renaissance due to the need to power all sorts of digital intelligence.

I agree with that take.
