Of course our first UoBChemistry 'Supra-group meeting' this week had to be celebrated with a curry! A great opportunity to share and discuss each groups recent works! Thank you to everyone who contributed and our guests from the @NiemeyerGroup 👩🔬 🐂👨🔬

Amazing day at the Royal Society of Chemistry presenting at the RSC Organic Poster Symposium. Honored to present our chemistry to such a diverse group of organic chemists!

I'm delighted to share that I'll start my research group at the Department of Chemistry at Bar Ilan University this summer. Great thanks to my fantastic mentors Steve Goldup, shai berlin, Moris and Bilha (not in Twitter).

Conferences are always great opportunities to catch up with old colleagues. Especially a pleasure to see what Noël Pairault is getting up to in the Nathan McClenaghan!

Supr@Paris 2024, put your stereochemistry hats on! Steve Goldup takes to the floor to present The Beginning of the end Mechanical Stereochemistry 🔗🍖

A great poster session presenting our recent work in the The Goldup Lab at Supr@Paris 2024 on mechanical stereoisomers and their stereoselective syntheses 🔗🍖 Thankfully everyone was primed and ready to talk stereochemistry after Steve Goldup's talk yesterday!

Interested in learning how to form interlocked molecules that are not thermodynamically favored and therefore not accessible by standard passive template methodologies? Come and check this review written during my PhD now out in Chem Soc Rev 🤗 pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

It was great to be hosted by Alex M. Szpilman, Levine Lab and Flavio Grynszpan at the Department of Chemical Sciences – Ariel University and deliver a lecture about the design and synthesis of mechanically caged molecules. Thank you for having me.

What better present could you get for Christmas than a PhD? Yesterday I defended my thesis ahead of my prize lecture in York on Tuesday. Thanks to Dr. Fielden (Stephen Fielden), Prof. McGonigal (mcgonigalgroup), and Prof. Harrowven (virtually) for examining my thesis! #PhDone!

I’m delighted to share that I’ve been selected to attend the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting! 🎉 Thank you to UoBChemistry and the The Royal Society for the nomination. Looking forward to engaging with Nobel Laureates and Young Scientists from around the world at #LINO25! 🇩🇪

Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to representing the The Goldup Lab, Uni of Birmingham and the The Royal Society at the upcoming meeting! #LINO25

We are delighted that Dr Peter Gallagher Peter R. Gallagher , a research fellow in the group of Professor Stephen Goldup Steve Goldup, has been selected to attend the 74th edition of the prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting birmingham.ac.uk/news/2025/pete…
