What a #NationalOlderWorkers week Merseyside District had, providing aged 50+ customers 30 event sessions to improve the opportunities available to them. Nearly 800 customers attended & 326 people were referred to support provision. Thank you to the 93 partners on hand to support

This week we had a visit from Sophie Dean Director General in DWP Policy. Sophie was hosted by @liverpoolcityregion and visited Wirral Youth Hub Hive which is delivered in partnership with @MCT and saw some of the great work taking place on the day.

During Work & Pensions questions in the Commons I raised the success of the movement to work scheme, which places young people with employers, including in the civil service. I also invited the Minister to visit Stockport Job Centre to see the great work they do!
