Lunch with my daughter Ada at the chorus cafe Fishamble Street. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the first official performance of Handel's Messiah in 1742 on this very site of the musical hall that stood there. #Ireland

Dublin needs a Civic Museum and nothing less will suffice. Akin to the Musée Carnavalet or the Stadtmuseum. A museum about the city, by the city, with proper pay and conditions for its staff at all levels and a Civic function. We can never hand that vision over.
