On this day, 15 years ago, we came together to celebrate the opening of The FIFA World Cup. With yesterday’s announcement, President Cyril Ramaphosa has set the ball rolling for South Africans to once again come together.

It is time for all South Africans to once again come together to chart our future. We are proud of our Deputy Chairperson, Prof Tinyiko Maluleke, for his inclusion as a member of the Eminent Persons Group who will guide and champion the National Dialogue.

Long-term planning provides longer term certainty, improving the quality of decision making for all.

Towards 'finishing strong' while laying the foundation for the next plan, the NPC is embarking on a nationwide stakeholder engagement process. Our first stop: the beautiful Northern Cape Province.
