This report brought tears to my eyes: the people of Southport: children, locals sweeping up around the mosque, shaking hands with mosque members, bringing balm after far right vandalism and riots. They are a stick in the eye of those seeking division. This is what community is.

BBC News - 9000 women in their 30s leave teaching each year. We need flexible working to address the lack of teachers, not money for training 6,500 new teachers. Happy teachers deserve to be happy parents too. Thank you, The MTPT Project for all you do. bbc.com/news/articles/…

Exodus of new mums fuels teacher shortage in schools - BBC News - This is so sad and it really doesn’t have to be like this. There are so many ways to be #flexible in education. WomenEd 10%Braver #DisruptiveWomen bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Working in prisons doesn’t often get a high profile. What Natasha, her team and every person trained via Unlocked have done to combat that is extraordinary & I truly hope there’s a way to keep it going. If you know anyone who might help make the case, do contact Natasha Porter OBE

I’m speaking on 5live tonight about the new Missing Mothers report The MTPT Project 📝 Emma “Useful” Sheppard 📖 has wonderfully co written. So many 30-39 people leaving our profession and from my experience unlikely to return with the current conditions. What would make you return? WomenEd 10%Braver #DisruptiveWomen

Love it when Teacher Tapp do the teaching population a huge favour by reminding us to check our pensions!! 🫶🏼 I’ve had a number of errors in my service record to sort over the years. Particularly important if you’ve been on maternity leave or worked part time! The MTPT Project

Are you an ECT who works flexibly? Have you mentored an ECT who was working flexibly? Can you please give us a 👋🏼? We are looking for an example for something we are working on. 🙏🏼 Flexible Teacher Talent Mr T's NQT/ECT support 🙋🏻♂️ The MTPT Project Teach First Ambassadors

Wow… Pretty emotional over here seeing my chapter published in an actual book! Sitting alongside so many other wonderfully #DisruptiveWomen Thank you WomenEd 10%Braver #DisruptiveWomen Vivienne Porritt OBE FCCT FRSA Flexible working is so important, but more needs to be done ensure it is a sustainable solution!

Fantastic to hear Bridget Phillipson acknowledge BBC Radio 4 Today that a key part of fixing retention is a focus on the biggest group that leave teaching each year - women in their thirties - often coinciding with when they become mothers (8.18am) bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0… #missingmothers

I'd like to bring something that it's crucial about Gisele Pelicot's case: she is the so called "perfect victim" that men can't dismiss anymore. I'll explain: men can't say "she was wearing this/that", "she provoked them", "she put herself in this situation," "she wanted it." 1/

Yes! Flexible working can be good for the individual member of staff AND good for the school where they work, if this is positively navigated. Lindsay Patience's chapter in WomenEd 10%Braver #DisruptiveWomen's third book: amazon.co.uk/Disruptive-Wom… Corwin 2/2

"Schools need to retain & recruit staff, promote staff wellbeing & diversity, & may potentially need to streamline costs & maximise productive efficiency to cope with financial pressures. Flexible working can make a positive contribution to all these areas." Lindsay Patience in 👇
