This was one of the most fascinating books I’ve read in a long time, Ronen Bergman! It’s been awhile since I read something I knew so little about. It’s certainly a complex subject- thank you for writing it!
Willie Lanier was at Oswego High School today, left a signed Kansas City Chiefs football and jersey, and no one told me. I could've met a KC all-timer! ...I'm more disappointed than when my APUSH tell me the middle colonies grew cash crops.
I loved the podcast, rob harvilla, and the book was the perfect accompaniment for it. Thanks again for the blasts of nostalgia for this 90s kid!
I heard Dan Stone discuss this book with Dan Carlin and knew I wanted to read it. I’m glad I did. It certainly gave some new things to think about with my understanding of the Holocaust.
I tried your competition St. Louis spare ribs recipe from the book, Meat Mitch. I’m sure I’m off in the details if this was really a competition, but they were absolutely outstanding! Thank you for the recipe!
I know we all say we were there before the bandwagon, but take my word for it, I was. Being a Kansas City Chiefs fan in 2024 is basically a perpetual “LOL, none of this makes sense, LOL!”
This was a great read, tim weiner! I learned a ton and it really made me reassess so much of what I thought I understood about the agency. Well done!
