Very grave development in Poland. Once again it shows how rapidly this conflict could spiral out of control - or at least spiral in a way that doesn’t conform with a “in the next parliament when economic and fiscal conditions allow” timetable.

Early days for Type 83 as well but clearly Type 26 "Strike" w VLS instead of Mission Bay provides a convenient base. Video description talks about ARTISAN Next Gen but in discussions made clear that new large radar (probably fixed faces) will have actually more to do with SAMPSON

The battleship HMS Rodney with her armament trained to starboard. Rodney - and her sister Nelson - had the highest broadside weight of any British battleship, at 18,432 lbs (8,361 kg).

I await the day 'modern battleship' advocates can relate a coherent vision of what such a ship type actually is and does. That actually fills a role in modern naval combat, and isn't just 'what if we made a DDG that was too large for anyone to afforded in the numbers needed'

HMS Barham in happier times. Known best for her loss as detailed below, she was flagship of the 5th Battle Squadron at Jutland. She took 5 heavy calibre hits with 26 killed and 46 wounded. She expended 337 15in rounds in return.

Two weeks ago, I received an unexpected call from the Marine nationale asking if I would like to witness and cover the firing of an Aster 30 SAM from air defense destroyer Forbin 🚀 It took place on Wednesday. This was an extremely rare opportunity and a highlight in my career.

Lord Nelson, Sir… We’ve spotted the French and Spaniards are off the cape of Trafalgar! What are your orders? “In order to proactively leverage our core competencies and synergize cross-functional bandwidth, we need to circle back and drill down on our blue-sky thinking to

Really looking forward to seeing Glasgow operational, but I’d be looking forward to it even more if we had some weapons for her Mk 41 cells…
