Little things like this reminding me why I love my job... writing Christmas cards for those in care homes. Most wrote ‘Merry Christmas’ like shown on the board. One little lovely wrote this: 🥺❤️

So that’s my last day at my wonderful school done. So grateful to have started my teaching career at Lawn and to have spent 4 fab years there. All the families and colleagues hold a special place in my heart. Now to the next adventure and to teach on the flip side 🌏✈️🇳🇿

Arriving in NZ with all my books left in the UK has really made me appreciate libraries again. I spent hundreds of £ on books for my class collection & really love owning the special ones.. but wow I’d forgotten what an amazing resource a library is! 📚 🤓

The Y4 class I have this week in NZ really enjoyed writing letters to my old class (now Y4) in England. They compared the upcoming school holidays & life on the other side of the world. So sweet seeing their excitement and reading letters from my old class 🥰

Getting there… covered the cushions, added some new cosy bits & brightened with baskets/plants… and of course some books! Just waiting on the book review display work next but a much more inviting space 🤍📚

So grateful for the lovely families and students I’ve been working with this year. Going to be hard to leave such a gorgeous class, but we’re getting each other excited for the move back 🇬🇧🥰

So proud of my Year 3s today for hosting our Macmillan coffee morning. They really took ownership of the day and all got stuck in with their chosen roles… even better for an unwell me, as I genuinely could step back and enjoy! 💚☕️
