A DSP is not doing its clients justice unless it allows for bidding (and optimization) at the placement id level (i.e. tag id, ad slot, whatever your semantics are).

Great AdExchanger article (bit.ly/4cMoQvY) on video misrepresentation. SSPs have been at this for years, similar to MFA. No incentive to stop it. SSPs will just tweak their requests to play nice with The Trade Desk but mislabel for less sophisticated DSPs. What a shame.
