We are hard at work finalizing 20 migration maps from around the world - from zebra to ibex. Stay tuned for our virtual launch of the Atlas of Ungulate Migration later this summer – a tool to help policymakers plan linear infrastructure to sustain land migrations! #conservation

There are an estimated 25 million kilometers of new roads planned for construction around the world by 2050. We are making maps that can help transportation infrastructure accommodate migrating ungulates – from the Kazakh Steppe to the Serengeti 🦌🦓Altyn Dala Conservation Initiative

Zebra in Namibia migrate up to 250 kilometers between two protected areas and through a complex system of land use types. Most migrations we've mapped occur outside of protected areas, illustrating the need for these corridors to be mapped and conserved. WWF #Conservation

As the snow-pack changes, #ski resorts and human recreation may move up in elevation, potentially constraining migratory movements of species like the ibex and making these maps important to guide future #development. Check out the ibex's map on Sept. 4th in our virtual event!

Rapid railway construction in Mongolia is fragmenting the migratory ranges of ungulates like the khulan. We're working to support scientists researching effective ways to restore landscape connectivity in this incredible ecosystem. WCS Mongolia InfoGraphics Lab
